    Turn up the "Heat"

Pacino and DeNiro are awesome, as usual. The plot is interesting, because in addition to exciting action/shoot-em-up scenarios, it delves into the personal lives of the cops and robbers. The interplay between the 2 leads is fascinating to watch, especially in the restaurant scene. So if you want both action and character development, this movie is for you!. Highly recommend it!

    Great movie.

DISC POOR, but it’s a GREAT MOVIE. That’s why I got it. Actually, this was to be a replacement. I lost my original. But I believe this was a copy. Poor quality with major sound issues. It also came with out a cover. Maybe that was stated, I don’t remember seeing that. So not a good value if the quality is bad.

  • Great film...Highly recommend it.

Pacino, Di Niro together...then throw in Val Kilmore really made it great. Tho only issue have is that the "sound track CD has some great music in it, that never played in the film...

  • Pacino and Deniro Collide

This was what I'd been waiting for-Al Pacino and Robert Deniro in the same flick. Sure, they were both in the Godfather Part II together, but never at the same time. Very good movie, not quite classic status because of its predictability, but very good nonetheless. All-Star cast with Pacino, Deniro, Val Kilmer, Jon Voight, and Tom Sizemore who steals a lot of the scenes. The movie has an excellent story, with Deniro being the bad guy thief who you kind of cheer for; and Pacino who's the cop chasing after him, who at the same time you kind of cheer for. It just seemed like to me that I knew almost everything that was going to happen before it happened. But the bank robbing and chase scenes that follow are some of the coolest in cinema history. Reminds me of the standoff ...

  • LA Takedown on the Boil!!!!!!

If you've seen HEAT before you've seen L.A. TAKEDOWN ... well then, you'll have to forgive the hoary old cliché "it suffers in comparison." For the latter was in fact Michael Mann's made-for-TV 'original' - like his 1986 MANHUNTER, an adaptation of Thomas Harris' best-selling psycho-thriller Red Dragon, the second version 'remake' (SILENCE OF THE LAMBS) is known as the better product. Which is a pity, really, as both originals were slickly-made and engrossing thrillers, with cold professionals both coolly and coldly pursuing that which neither know anything else but ... Robert DeNiro grimmaces as per, and Al Pacino simply plays Al Pacino. In what is possibly the most electrifying two minutes of 1990s cinema, Pacino invites DeNiro for ...
