Product Information

The first Nintendo 64 cartridge to support four players simultaneously is a port of 1996's hard-hitting arcade title from Atari Games. Twenty-six NHL teams are available in three play modes: Arcade, Simulation, and Practice. Each team offers 17 playable athletes rated in categories like shooting, speed, and strength. Arcade Mode features controls similar to such Midway hits as NBA Jam and NFL Blitz. Players can use turbo boosts for sudden surges in skating speed, and set a goal's net ablaze with power shots. Fights are also plentiful, and goalies can transform into brick walls (literally) after stopping six consecutive shots. <br><br>Simulation Mode features six-on-six action on larger rinks, without the ability to use power shots, brick walls, and similar embellishments. Practice Mode allows players to test their offense, defense, and shooting skills in specific scenarios against the computer or a friend. After each session, players will receive a ranking and a possible medal or trophy based on their overall performance. Adjustable game options include team size, rink surface, difficulty level, and period length. Individual toggles are also available for fighting, penalties, line changes, fatigue, and game speed. Four bonus teams can be unlocked, and players can input codes to modify the game in various ways.

The game arrived, and when I popped it it it didn’t work. However I was able to do the old qtip and alcohol thing and it works like a charm.

One of the best multiplayer hockey games ever made!!!
Wayne Gretzkys 3D Hockey (N64) An awesome Arcade-style Multiplayer game. Wayne Gretzkys 3D Hockey gives is the first NHL Hitz style video game ever made (Unless you include Mutant League Hockey). It's fast paced and full of action. The game is simple and easy to pick up, and even though the single player mode gets boring very quickly, this is a game that I still play in 2007. 10 years of replay value really points out just how great this game is. great gane. i remeber it was a great hockey game when it first came out. still is good. it brought back many good memories when i played it when it came in. i also like it because there is a cheat code to unclock the quebec nordiques, minisota northstars, winnipeg jets, and of corse my favorite team in the nhl that made CT suck to live for me after they left, ladies and gentlemen, your HARTFORD WHALERS!!!great gane. i remeber it was a great hockey game when it first came out. still is good. it brought back many good memories when i played it when it came in. i also like it because there is a cheat code to unclock the quebec nordiques, minisota northstars, winnipeg jets, and of corse my favorite team in the nhl that made CT suck to live for me after they left, ladies and gentlemen, your HARTFORD WHALERS!!!

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend. He enjoys watching hockey on television. One day he mentioned this video game and how he used to have it. He stated how much fun he had playing this game with his buddies long ago. I decided to look on ebay for this product. I found it immediately after I typed in the search for it and found several bargaining prices. I bought it with no hesitation. When it was delivered to the house I gave it to my boyfriend. He now plays the game nearly everynight...except when I get a movie to watch. He enjoys it very much and it is quite entertaining listening to the reactions he makes when the game is intense.
