2008 Honda Odyssey Ex-L
It's definitely a direct fit for my 2008 Honda Odyssey Ex-L. I had to replace the original one. Due to it broke during the time it was at the mechanic shop getting the timing replaced. I read most of the reviews on fit wise. Let me just say this the broke garment was easy to take off. The new one was easy getting on also. The hardest part was putting it where it goes in the inside. That was a struggle. It was installed on March 20, 2021. So far good. I hope this reviews helps others. I'm sure this garment would probably fit 2005 to 2010. Because I noticed we can get any part from a Honda Odyssey that's from 2005 to 2010.It's definitely a direct fit for my 2008 Honda Odyssey Ex-L. I had to replace the original one. Did the Job
Replaced the original, broken grommet on a 2005 Honda Odyssey. Putting the new one on requires a bit of tenacity due to a tight fit but it's not technically difficult. I put the grommet on the hood support rod first (rather than in the hole in the engine compartment). It's hard to get it to slide around the first right-angle bend. Rotating the grommet while pushing it around the bend seemed to help. In retrospect, putting a bit of soap on the rod might have made it easier. Snapping the grommet/rod assembly into the receiving hole was also difficult due to a tight fit. What eventually worked for me was angling one side of the grommet into the hole so the clips engage the metal. Then I used a nail set and hammer to gently tap the rest of the grommet into place, starting next to where ... Replaced the original, broken grommet on a 2005 Honda Odyssey. A couple of YouTube videos made it appear to be easy to snap the grommet into the hole while on the rod, but that wasn't my experience. Maybe it has to do with the model of the vehicle since this part is used on many models. Nevertheless, I'd still do it myself than pay a mechanic because the job is fairly straightforward and takes less than 10 minutes.

Right part!
This is the correct bushing for a 2007 Odyssey hood prop rod. This part snaps into the radiator support then the rod is inserted into it. Originals (and probably this one, too) lose their 'springyness' after about 10 years and break, making the rod fall out. This gets you back to normal.
