    What Joe Friday Might Make

    This is an interesting portrayal purportedly of the relationship between Mapplethorpe and his millionaire lover, Sam Wagstaff. It really is more a documentary of Sam Wagstaff with a little Mapplethorpe thrown in. While it is interesting, it is a little on the dry side. It reminds me of what a film by Joe Friday might be like ("just the facts, ma'am). It is worth watching.
