    "Good But Not Versatile Enough"

    The device is great with one major exception. If you have standard Mini DV tapes, the AUDIO will not be available for export if the tape was recorded in LP (long play) mode. You will receive a blinding red light, alerting you to this fact. Also, tapes longer than 63 minutes, will not play. It appears that this unit was designed for 60 minute length playback. I did not record any tapes because I was not using it for that purpose.

    A Good Choice

    THis is a great tape deck for those with DV or HDV tapes. My only issue with the unit is it has a loud fan in it. But electronically is is well worth it.
