Older Dinosaur Movie, BEFORE Jurassic Park

Bought this because it was from a time of fond memories. Nice to revisit, but can't imagine that it is so different than I remembered, LOL. A couple of archeologists meet up with the Legend of the native people. Becomes all about saving it from poachers and stealers of history. Anyway, the movie is enjoyable, if you haven't seen it, and worth an evening if you are seeking a short adventure. Kids will like it, especially...glued to their seats. Older kids, were not as impressed, as it lacks the super real movement, and spectacular effects of CGI generated movies...such as Juirassic Park. But, we had what we had, you know? It was an awesome movie for its time, and an enjoyable movie to watch. The price was great. The quality excellent.

  • Good movie for kids, but not dino-crazed kids. Adults will need alcohol.

I remember this movie from my childhood. My best friend loathed this film because I would rent it every weekend, and make him watch it. It now appears he was definately on to something. The dinosaurs looked like they belong in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Over-inflated & cumbersome. It is obvious that "Baby" has some poor sap trapped inside. The motion of "Baby" is awkward & painful to watch, along with the acting. The fact that they keep calling the dinosaurs "Brontosaurus" is annoying since the name was changed to Apatasaurus in the early 20th century. It is no wonder that Disney, who produced this film, is only mentioned in the last line of the credits. Apparently Disney didn't want anything to do with this films re-release. Thank God Jurassic Park helped save the ...

  • Baby: Secret of the Lost Legend

This was a favorite of my daughter when she was growing up, but we saw it on TV. Big surprise when I bought it and hoped to watch it with my granddaughter. It is rated PG but not at all appropriate for young children. The language includes swear words and some nasty responses to questions. Also shows natives wearing little clothing if any, which opened a whole line of questions. We lasted above five minutes and had to pull the tape, telling her it was for older people. I think my daughter will be quite surprised by it as well - not the movie she remembers, and I would have to say the story line is not helped by the language or some of the inappropriate responses. If I ever see it on TV I will record it then!

  • Great Acting

The guy looks exatly like my friend Danny Waltman "Goalkeeper for the Detroit indoor soccer league. The women lead was definatly in he prime. I reconized the ace ventura star. The special effects are bismal.. But what do you expect from the early 80's. My girlfriend made me watch this movie because she said she saw i 500 hundred times a child and could remember a scene.

  • Baby Secret of the Lost Legend Not a Kids Movie

Just as cheesy and horrifying as it was when I first saw it as a child. This movie is Not for kids. Great memory for me though.
