How many discrepancies are there?
Having only owned four BMW's I'm by no means an expert; so I thought this book would help me become more of one. Unfortunately only a few pages in, I came a cross quite a large error - the origins of the BMW emblem. Those not so familiar with BMW may recall the story of BMW making planes before they made cars, and the BMW emblem being reminiscent of that - a spinning propeller against a blue sky. Good story, no? Too bad it's false. The emblem is a modification of the Rapp Motorenwerke logo with the Bavarian flag in the middle. Quite a large error. Makes me wonder what else is wrong with this book. A great reference ... or just a great read!
This is a good read whether you own a 3-series or not. I currently have an M-Roaster and M5, and am in the market for an E46. This is an excellent reference, and is written in a very fun, enjoyable manner.
