Ubisoft's fighting series designed for boy gamers aged six to ten comes to the Wii for the first time with more mighty clashes between some of the most powerful and ferocious creatures to ever roam the earth in Battle of Giants: Dinosaurs Strike. Gamers select from a group of 18 different dinosaur breeds, including T-Rex, Velociraptor, and Stegasaurus, and then choose from 12 different colors and patterns. Players use their Wii Remote and Nunchuk to battle opponents in three-round bouts, taking advantage of each dinosaur's particular strengths and weaknesses. Those who win are rewarded with bonuses that unlock thorns, bones, and feathers to make their creatures stronger, tougher, and faster. In addition to battling fellow dinosaurs, combatants must also avoid taking damage from cataclysmic events plaguing the forest, desert, and mountain environments. Solo gamers can also take on the ladder-style "Domination" mode, while multiplayer fans can join up to three friends for the "Versus," "Tournament," and Tag Team" modes.

    Solid game

    The game is pretty cool. It’s simple to understand, and has some good looking models for the dinosaurs. Though it is easy once you start to learn the behavior of the enemy

    great time with your little ones. it's a must play

    i play this game with my 3 yr old son and he loves it. sometimes he loses and wants dad to win it for him but that doesn't always work either. the game doesn't show any blood and guts that it wouldn't be visually right for youger age. i just play the versus mode for quick battles but it also has tournament modes to see how far your dino goes and to see what new features you could add onto him every time you win a battle. i'm amazed at how many dinosaurs you could eventually use once they've all been unlocked. i just think this game is cool for a young child, boy or girl, as my daughter plays it too...that a visit to a dinosaur museum would make everything that much more great for learning.

    Great game for young dino lover!

    My 6 year old son LOVES dinosaurs and LOVES this game. I read other reviews that said the graphics were nor great, but I disagree. This game is perfect for the young dino lover! It is a basic dino fight with no graphic scenes, which is appropriate for younger players. He uses his imagination naming new dinos and coming up with creative looks. He loves to unlock new dinosaurs and has a lot to choose from. I'm very happy with this purchase.

    Fun, educational and unique

    Being a fan of of such dinosaur films as "One Million BC" and "When Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth", I found this game very entertaining! You get to be the dinosaur! You even get to choose which dinosaur you want to be. Then you are pitted against another dinosaur to fight it out in a prehistoric environment. As with a lot of Wii games, control can be a little frustrating at times, but overall this is a very fun game. Would also appeal to those who like boxing and wrestling games who are looking for something different.

    Great game

    This game is great and perfect for anyone who loves dinosaurs. This game has great graphics and very easy to learn how to play. You pick a dinosaurs and you fight other dinosaurs. After you win, you can upgrade your dinosaur to make it even more powerful.
