Best live album ever!
It has been a long time since I listened to this album. I had forgotten how good it is. This band was made up of really great musicians and, in my opinion, this is the best live album I've ever heard.

This is a great set. Highly recommended to ABB fans. This is not on the capricorn label of which the ABB are suing for non payment of royalities, so the ABB will get thier money from this release! This has the original music from the LP release plus some other nice cuts like "drunken hearted boy" that feaures elivin bishop, steve miller on piano!, and tom ducette on harmonica. Also, features mountain jam originally released on "eat a peach" however, I haven't listened to see if it's the same version, it probably is. However, the nice thing about this release compared to the double disc set on the chronicles label is all original cuts versus the spliced version on the solos from "elizabeth reed"; that was a nightmare and a tatic that should never be done on live material EVER! Also, ... This is a great set. Highly recommended to ABB fans. Also, nice new liner notes, great new photos; but I don't think the remaster job is in total meaning that they didn't go back to the master reels perse and re-mix them; this sounds like the same mix on the "remaster" series from capricorn, and from the chronicles double disc release. It does sound very good and is way better than the first release on CD. The capricorn label remaster release is only one disc and doesn't contain the extra tunes here on this release. This is a great album, and could be the most legendary double live release, certainly the best LP the ABB ever had; I can actually taste pabst blue ribbon beer when I hear this album on a saturday afternoon! Get it!!!

A Must Have
If you are an Allmans fan, this Deluxe Edition is an essential. Taken from the many recorded sessions at the soon-to-close Fillmore East, this expanded release boasts some great performances that were not included on the original Fillmore album. This is probably the best example of what could have been, had Duane Allman's life not ended soon after these concerts. The audio has been remastered and sounds surprisingly good for a live session from the late 60s. An awesome selection from the formative years of one of the most influential bands of their era!If you are an Allmans fan, this Deluxe Edition is an essential. Amazing, One-Of-A-Kind Music
If you like this incredible performance, definitely spring for the Deluxe Edition! I can't really put into words how good these guys were and it does make me sad when I look around today at music, but hopefully this concert will say it all and even provide us with some redemption. Those were fertile times and this was a high point. I am as pleased with my purchase of these two discs as I am of anything I've bought-ever. The original concert release was preserved in a top-notch fashion, but this Edition is a much-needed expansion-the definitive record, if you will. Truly does justice to the Allman Brothers' legacy!If you like this incredible performance, definitely spring for the Deluxe Edition!
