Cosmetic blemish doesn’t appear to impact the intended purpose. Seller provided some guidance how to correct/repair but my attempts have been unsuccessful and I have decided to live it with vs potentially causing potential additional damage.

    Major League Coffeemaker

    I had a reliable and long lasting Braun coffeemaker that I finally had to part with. I wanted a brewer that just made coffee, no clock or timer or burner, just a simple coffeemaker that utilized an insulated carafe. The Bunn BTX-B has reservoir with two carafe's of hot water, which greatly cuts down on brewing time. In about 3 minutes I have hot coffee and it makes great coffee. I could ask for a better replacement for my old Braun. I would definitely recommend this coffeemaker.

    What's that smell?

    I have used Bunn coffee makers for two decades without problems, but lately I have to ask, "what happened?" Bunn coffee makers are fast and easy to use, the concept is great, but the ones I have bought lately have an electrical, burning rubber-like smell that is unacceptable. The water stays hot in these units all the time, sort of like mini water heaters, but after mine heated up to operating temperature, it started to emit a nauseating smell that wafted throughout the whole house. i don't know if it is the plastic on the top of the unit or something internal, but I had to send it back. Sorry Bunn, somethings changed, and it smells.

    Perfect

    We always loved our Bunn and now the one with the carafe certainly adds a sense of security to our household. Out house has both day shift and night shift workers so the coffee is always ready and no worry about warmer on and a fire. Hint to make sure you temper the carafe with hot water before you start the brew cycle to keep coffee hot longer. Bought another for a gift loved it so much and easy to clean.

    Keeping the flavor like fresh brewed for hours.

    Many of my friends own this fantastic professional styled coffee maker. I like my coffee to taste the same as when I made it, hours later. Now you can have it too, this maker can have a "full" pot ready in just minutes, 3 max. Steaming hot and true flavor like your favorite coffee shop. No more hot plate to burn the flavor out and leave that nasty overheated smell. Bunn is the maker with the inovation of a airpot insulated container wraped up in a package suitable for the kitchen counter, great style that is worth the extra cost in all respects. The very best in quality and durability make the Bunn thremofresh a top notch purchase for any coffee nut!

    Newer style pot is great

    This is my 2nd BTX-10 thermal coffee maker. This edition of the BTX-10 has a new style coffee pot, which pours better and keeps the coffee hot for a longer period of time. I roast and grind my own coffee. I had to learn how to use the Bunn coffee maker when brewing home roasted coffee because the water doesn't flow through the grounds as quickly (can be messy) as the packaged ground coffee, which allows the water to flow more freely. I had to experiment with lifting the lid to stop the water flow and then putting the lid back down to get the water flowing again. It may sound complicated but it's not and the quality of the coffee is extraodinary. My first BTX-10 lasted about 6 years, so I expect this unit to be, at least, as dependable as the previous unit.
