Honestly I was sceptical about purchasing this but for the little cost I took the gamble.
This worked and unlocked App Connect on a 2015 golf GTD with MIB 2. I read elsewhere about other options that unlocked the App Connect but left you with a Error when the car is scanned with a obd scanner and was worried this would be similar. I am happy to say there is no error codes after scanning the car.

I am probably one of the most computer illiterate and incompetent purchasers. Very clear instructions. I was quoted £380 by VW for the same activation. The link was sent within minutes of paying.
