good for a basic computer
it is definitely worth its price, but i don't recommend it for people who do heavy work and use it often for long periods of time. don't expect this computer to last more than 3 years working due to the graphics defect it is prone to. the 2007 macbook pro is prone to graphics failure due to most of the nvidia geforce 8600m gt graphics cards overheating and melting the contact points on the computer main board. if you do buy this computer i recommend using it for short amounts of time doing light work or running the fans at full blast with a fan control.it is definitely worth its price, but i don't recommend it for people who do heavy work and use it often for long periods of time. don't expect this computer to last more than 3 years working due to the graphics defect it is prone to. the 2007 macbook pro is prone to graphics failure due to most of the nvidia geforce 8600m gt graphics cards overheating and melting the contact points on the computer main board. if you do buy this computer i recommend using it for short amounts of time doing light work or running the fans at full blast with a fan control.

Super intuitive and easy to use, even for a long time p.c. user
As a die-hard pc user my entire life i was skeptical to enter the world of the mac. i always had strong feelings about apple products (more like personal issues). I find myself needing to lean a mac because most of the clients in my industry use them and i was always in the dark on getting them setup for an event. Here i am just purchased my very first Mac and i can now see why everyone loves them. they are intuitive and easy to navigate. A very small learning curve for pc users making the switch or migration as i did. My only real personal gripe is the case. An aluminum case? It just seems like an odd choice to wrap your components in a thin metal shell that will scratch and dent. Granted those pieces to an extent can be replaced (fairly cheaply) but the computer is a little daunting to ... Once you go Mac, you never want to go back!
My Mac died over the summer and I tried to limp along with an old Windows laptop for a few months, but I just couldn't stand it any longer. You know what they say--Once you go Mac, you never want to go back. Apple has a long reputation for well-designed, well-built computers and this one is no exception. Although this laptop is a few years old, it's still reasonably fast and it can run the latest version of Mac OS X. This particular MacBook Pro looks almost identical to its Powermac G4 predecessors, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I didn't think I'd like the glossy screen, but it turns out I like it very much. Surprisingly, it doesn't have much of a glare problem at all. One nice feature of the MacBook Pro line is the MagSafe power adapter, which attaches to the computer ... It's designed to break away easily to keep from damaging the plug or pulling the computer off the table. The only downside to this design is if--like the computer I have--the battery doesn't work. Without the battery, the computer, of course, shuts down instantly and you lose any saved work. A replacement battery solves the problem easily and isn't terribly expensive on eBay. Like many recent Apple products, repairing and upgrading a MacBook Pro isn't the easiest thing in the world. The RAM slots are user accessible--provided you have the proper size Torx screwdriver--but that's about it. Getting inside the case to replace the hard drive or optical drive requires removing about a dozen tiny Torx screws to more or less completely disassemble the unit. Mine is old enough that voiding the warranty isn't an issue, but that is a consideration on a newer one. If you must undertake this chore, detailed instructions with copious photographs are available at ifixit.com. When it comes to excellent design, system stability, and ease of use, it's hard to beat a Mac, even a used one.

I have been a MAC user for a long time. I own an iMac and a Macbook Pro. Apple products are honestly made of top quality materials and they always last way longer than Windows. Macs have the fastest responding time and are very user friendly. Whatever you need is just one click away. The touchpad is really smart, too. Although there are many people say Mac is bad and expensive for no reason, it's because most of them have not used one for a while. You can use a mac for a long time without needing to restart it or shut it down. Also over the past years that I have been using Mac neither on my macbook pro and iMac it has crashed. I know it is more expensive than Windows, but it honestly pays for itself. Don't be afraid and invest your money on something that will hold its value for a long ... I have just switched to a MacBook Pro from being a PC person for years, and after having to learn a few diffrences in how the operated I'm now totally hooked, its so much better than the PC laptops and Mac have done an awesome job of making everything so easy to use, I wished I had changed over years ago. So if your like me and are thinking of trying a Mac, all I can say is "Just Do IT" you'll never look back.I have just switched to a MacBook Pro from being a PC person for years, and after having to learn a few diffrences in how the operated I'm now totally hooked, its so much better than the PC laptops and Mac have done an awesome job of making everything so easy to use, I wished I had changed over years ago.
