I am very happy to get my new cookbook. If you were to see my old Southern Sideboards you would see that the recipes are well loved. It is 35 years old. Daddy's Deal and buttermilk pancakes are a family favorite. The new book is in practically brand new new condition.

My family's "go to" cookbook
This is a wonderful Southern cookbook, with a lot of basic recipes, but also a few recipes for wild game dishes such as rabbit, quail, and squirrel. I bought this for my sister as a Christmas gift to replace the one she lost. Several of the women in my family swear by this cookbook. The pecan pie recipe is the only one we ever use, and the simple recipe for onion rings can't be beat. Southern Sideboards a great book to have on hand
I purchased two copies of this cookbook through E-Bay--one for me and one for a friend. It is no longer in print and I wanted to add it to my collection. In fact it had a particular recipe in it which I needed which made me go on E-Bay to see if I could find copies and sure enough E-Bay had it. It was so convenient to shop with E-Bay because you can always find what you are looking for. A go to cookbook time and time again.
This is a great cookbook. All kinds of recipes for every chapter without having to buy special ingredients. I made the apple dumpling cake on page 310 and used a dab more apples and it came out fabulous. Have made several more recipes and I would tell everyone looking at this cookbook that you can't go wrong in purchasing this one.
