    Apple Mac OSX Leopard Version 10.5.6 FAMILY PACK - INSTALL DVD

    My Mac Pro started to act really buggy and after trying many different remedies without success I decided on a complete re-install of the OS. I expect nothing less than perfection from apple products and was not disappointed. The installation and set up went flawlessly and I was able to upgrade to Snow Leopard (as far as I can go on this machine) with no problems. I was sure to backup with Time Machine first to a another volume and everything transferred back automatically with no issues.

    A very nice OS for an old machine, I only wish they made a newer OS.

    I was given a Mac xserve G4 without an OS and it worked with linux but I wanted to see how it would if I Installed the newest available OS mac offered for it. I purchesed the mac osx Leopard for it and it works very well. I am still learning how to use it and being a very old OS there are many things that have passed it by but all in all it does what I expect and someday I hope to get the xserve working as my home server for all my needs. A bit like taking your truck to kill a fly but I can live with it.

    Mint, unopened. Worked great. Probably as high an OS version as my machine can take, but should keep me going for a few more years. 10.4 doesn't cut it...10.5 does. Still, too bad that Apple is so unconcerned with maintaining backwards compatibility. Installing this software really made me realize that Apple has absolutely no interest in ever again trying to make inroads into corporate computing. Too bad for them, I suppose.

    Loaded up correctly, easily and upgraded my system.

    The retail package is the only way to upgrade any Mac system that accepts it. Other versions are machine specific and might not work.Installed automatically but it does take some time depending on the hard drive size. All of my programs that worked on 10.4.11 work with this. 10.5.6 (with the 10.5.8 upgrade) is as far as one can go with a Power Mac.

    Or a fresh, clean install of Tiger. Back up old OS to save your settings! OS-10.5.8 works great with my 2004 iBook G4 1.33 14" 1.25GB 60GB My 2007 White MacBook 2009 AL Unibody 13 2.4 2009 Mac Mini...
