Comically myopic hero Mr. Magoo stumbles onto the big screen in this live-action cartoon. After Magoo (Leslie Nielsen, star of AIRPLANE! and the NAKED GUN television series and movies) inadvertently makes off with a priceless gem exhibited at the premiere of a posh museum, he and his bulldog sidekick, Angus, find themselves in the midst of international intrigue. Not only has the jewel been earmarked by slinky cat burglar Luanne LeSeur (Kelly Lynch), it's also prized by the FBI, a Brazilian crime lord, and other sundry parties. Packed with laughs, MR. MAGOO is helmed by action-comedy director Stanley Tong, best known as a directorial collaborator of martial arts megastar Jackie Chan.

    Lesie Nielson does a great imitation of Mr. Magoo

    You will enjoy this movie more if your familiar with the Mr. Magoo cartoons made for the theatre. Jim Backus is very hard, in my opinion, to imitate voice, sounds and especially the way Magoo the cartoon character walks and moves. People not recognizing the Magoo character may find it too slow moving or not understand the humor.

    Great to watch with Kids

    This was a fun movie to watch with the kids. The opening with the cartoon Mr. Magoo that we knew as kids helped to explain the character to our kids who otherwise didn't know him.

    WONDERFUL MOVIE

    This movie is so funny and Mr Magoo is so unaware of whats going on around him that he is a lovable character that you cant help but want to watch. There is nothing to dislike about it. I bought it to let my grandchildren enjoy it.
