Meet Pingu- A loveable Penguin in any language!
I had a chance to see a short film that included this mischevious,loveable penguin many years ago. Pingu appeals to a wide audience of all ages and languages. He makes noises and gestures that are universal. Each brief cartoon has a life lesson for Pingu. The claymation animation has visual appeal for young children. I bought Meet Pingu as a gift for a 2 year old and we expanded our home collection with "Chilling out with Pingu." Pingu is a life-saver
This dvd is great. I almost never let my child watch tv - no Barney, Disney, even PBS. But Pingu is wonderful - beautiful claymation with gentle stories. This dvd has a variety of Pingu stories - they seem to be randomly selected, but they're all wonderful. I especially like the last one, about an organ grinder. Also, since everyone in Pingu speaks "penguinese" you don't have to have the same insipid dialogue (or worse, songs) running through your head like with most children's videos.This dvd is great. Very good cartoon for little children. My son is 3 1/2 years old and he has been loving Pingu since he could crawl. Pingu just never seems to get old! pingu teaches chilkdren valuable life lessons such as sharing, caring and others feelings. We like it because he and his fanily have their own "Pingu language". We own every DVD that has come out! Loved it.
