A Mediocre forgettable Movie...
Okay this movie is horrible but I purchased it to pair with my copy of Rifftraxs. If you don't know who or what Rifftrax's is it is three guys who make fun of movies and are absolutely hilarious. It is like Mystery Science Theatre but better. This movie is not good at all and Michael Bay's sweeping shots are almost nauseating to look at. Great to make fun of though.

Transformers marketed for kids, disappointed with FOUL LANGUAGE and SEXUAL INNUENDOS in movie
Transformers are marketed towards kids; however, we were extremely disappointed because this movie has foul language and sexual innuendos throughout. We have found that the first Transformers movie is a little better than the others in the series. Movies Dark of the Moon and Revenge of the Fallen are far worse in terms of inappropriate content for children's viewing, than Transformers and Age of Extinction. It is very disappointing that the Transformers movies appeal to kids, but are littered with such foul language, sexual innuendo, and inappropriate content. We wish the filmmakers would have made the Transformers movies kid friendly. Beyond our wildest imagination
Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman (screenplay and story) have outdone themselves with their take on the Transformers (For the purists out there, Orci and Kurtzman were able to simplify matters by consolidating the proverbial “seat of power” – The All Spark Cube – into one gigantic cube that conveniently has the ability to transform itself into a tiny cube for logistics purposes (In the 80’s cartoon, a number of the Decepticons had the ability to generate cubes which they “fill with energy,” creating “energon cubes.” as well as give each of the Transformers the power of Teletran 1 (basically the ability to select their earthly “disguise” on their own (e.g., Camaro, truck, helicopter, cell phone, etc.) The Transformers Movie was generally an entertaining, but lacked sufficient emphasis to ... When they transformed to their robotic forms, it was pretty difficult to determine who was an Autobot from a Decepticon. Towards the end of the film, when both the Autobots and Decepticons were locked in battle, an unfamiliar audience couldn’t tell who was Ratchet from Bone Crusher, Frenzy from Jazz, Iron Hide from Devastator, etc. In addition, the finale fight sequence was a “migraine waiting to happen” as Michael Bay placed a lot of emphasis on the speed and agility of the Transformers. It’s funny really; you have the Autobots, that value human life and the Decepticons who don’t really care, one way or another. In that battle (though not depicted), I am pretty sure their were human casualties…How could their not be, the Transformers were going through buildings as if it were tin foil. Well, just a thought. The Transformers Movie is one of those films that you watch once (due to the potential migraine issue) and maybe after a couple of years, you can wipe away the dust of your copy from you DVD collection and reminisce that Bay’s film may have truly been “beyond our wildest imagination.”

Transformers Come Again
In a revisit to the original Transformers 80's cartoon series, this rendition of Transformers is packed with action, car chases, fantastic special effects, and a respectable story line. This movie is amazing on the big screen and delights men and boys alike! :-) A slight romantic interest by the teen-aged hero helps bring depth to the story. Although the focus of the story is the transforming of the Transformers, it is worth a watch (and repeating). For parents monitoring what their children see, I would reccommend a parents-only preview before watching as a fmaily (as some sensuality and character behavior may be offensive). One of the two original Optimus Prime voices is used as the Optimus Prime voice in this first Transformers live-action movie (2007); ironically, this voice ...
