    Entertaining and fun

    Wonderful and engaging story of the famous Disco Club "54" in NYC during the late 1970's. Characters are great and the stars portraying them do an excellent job. The great soundtrack of Disco Hits is a reminder of a bygone era. Especially good is the voice over of Ryan Phillippe. The Directors Cut has just been released, but I still prefer this version, the theatrical release, mostly for the voice over. Great for the lovers of Disco Music.

    Why I bought a copy of "54"

    This is not an art film, or epic, or anything of that sort. I love it because it a representation of life as it was in the glorious disco days of the late 70s to early 80s, sometimes fun and opportunity and othertimes disgrace. Honestly, it was full decadence at that time. It's a historical record of the subject matter, but at least touches upon the fact that worker bees at '54' were only nominally participating in at all, while the stars got it all, and got off scott free..... As for the boss, well, he had a cash cow that he not only couldn't manage properly but literally dared the government to come in and challenge him on. Why anyone with such visibility did it was plain stupid....enough from me.

    Great movie from my generation!! Mike Myers, and cast gives you the feeling that you were there in history!! Thank you Love it!! Disco, Great Music, Sex, adventure rolled up in one!! Brings back Memories!! Joseph!!!
