A little "campy" but good, clean, fun!
I have a lot of The Firm DVDs/Videos, but I was getting bored with the "same old, same old", so I decided that I wanted something a little different. Unable to afford a gym membership, currently and being a fan of the home workout genre, I'd heard that this was a good option for cardio. I managed to find this particular DVD at a pretty good price, too, so decided to go for it. If anyone is expecting more than just good fun with this, they'll be disappointed. I see this purely as a refreshing change for cardio, on days when you can't be bothered to lug out all of the equipment. I can still get a sweat with it, and even though I get impatient with myself for not picking up the routines straight away, I think this is going to be a good addition to my Firm workouts. I'm in my early 50's and some of these steps I remember from my days in the 70's as a go go dancer in England. Even then, I think one would have been hard pressed to take these steps anywhere! Overall, a lighthearted, but surprisingly efficient cardio workout.

Horrible Video
I love to dance and have taken several cardio dance classes before, so I wanted a dance workout video for my house. I did not pick it out, but I got it for christmas. I just tried it out and turned it off after 16mins. The music is horrible and not up beat. The dance moves do not follow the music. They go way to fast through the moves for you to even figure out what they are doing. I know it's not a dance instruction video, but all of the other workout videos I've done go through the moves a couple times to make sure that you get it and this one does not. You shouldn't have to pause and repeat over and over to figure out a dance move on a workout video. It defeats the purpose of a good workout video. Fun and easy
This workout is not hard by firm standards, but the choreography is difficult. I use this workout as my second of the day or when I'm having a low-energy day. Once you learn the dance moves, it's fun, energetic and fast-paced and before you know it, you are done.

This is a lot of fun!
I really like Allie. She is one of my favorite Firm instructors. The dances are so fun. My favorite is the Latin. The DVD last approx. 40 minutes. There are 5 sections: Warm up, Club Dance, Latin Dance, Disco, and Cool Down. It's very fun and goes by very quickly. This is one of those workouts you do when you are tired of working out.
