Good resource and reference book
I found this book a great resource for understanding and helping a loved one with BPD. Originally I checked it out of the local library, but quickly found the information provided would be a good addition to my personal library and decided to order this book. Easy to read and understand. Author has a sister who most likely had BPD, so his passion to help people and family is from first hand concern and desire to truly help. Also interesting that a low dose of antipsychotic medication worked to help control emotions and impulsive behavior so that BPD persons could benefit from therapy to change their perceptions and responses for better quality of life.I found this book a great resource for understanding and helping a loved one with BPD. Originally I checked it out of the local library, but quickly found the information provided would be a good addition to my personal library and decided to order this book. This is a great way to help you over come a mentel illness of border line erosnality dissorder. i was an abuse victim.letme say it's not easy to overcome. it helps you get though thigns, find different copeing stratergies. it helps one realize your not alone and there are ways to be helped. i've tired to commitee suicide and it's a painful experience. This book helps you look after people with borderline personality dissorder. remember to never judge a perosn with this ilness. as it can make madders worse. things effect them in differnt ways then others, and it's more dramatic to them. they may also experience flashbacks. this book is a great example to see what theyir every day life challenges are. please read this book, or buy it. it could save a life. i know it's saved me a bunch. even ... I also am gonna get my 16 year old sister to come and live with me. and take care of her. she needs to have a teenagers life and not live in the same situation as me! please help anyone in need. i know thats all i tyr to do daily. i'm going to hopefully be a RN and a teachers aid to help gives others a better life. and what they deserve. no one deserves this. and please, please take the time to understand a person the best u can. don't judge anyone. ty!
