  • A Christmas Story At Its Best

This is one of the best Christmas stories. Art Carney is at his best. He plays a depressed old man, fired from his job as a department store Santa Claus and driven to the bottle by the unhappy, uncaring world around him. He wishes to become a gift giver and make people happy. He gets his wish with a bag of garbage that produces gifts of any form, giving happiness to all around him. He asks nothing for himself except to be able to do this the rest of his life. He gets his wish and becomes Santa Claus. This Twilight Zone was originally shown 2 days before Christmas in 1960. It chocked me up then and it chocks me up now. Definitely, a Christmas video to add to your collection.
