You will absolutely need this tool, if you're going to install Propex tubing in your home, and I've discovered over the years, that buying a new tool to do the job, is usually the best policy. This expansion tool arrived brand new, in factory condition, I couldn't be happier than I am right now, with every aspect of this transaction, as well as the quality of the tool. Glad I bought used
As a mostly DIY user I don't put this tool through its paces. If it weren't for the much-discounted eBay price for this used unit it wouldn't be worth the difference between propex/Uponor and other pex systems. And while I say it's not a great value for the DIY right now, ask me when I'm sweating and bug-bitten in the crawlspace whether making fast easy connections is worth the money and I'd probably say it's worth double.As a mostly DIY user I don't put this tool through its paces. It does what it's made to do really well. I haven't used it but a few times but using this system v/s cpvc saved me enough time to pay for the tool on the first job. It's so easy, it feels like cheating after gluing cpvc for so many years. No fumes here. Love it.

Makes fast work of a long job
When I decided to go with Uponor AquaPex, it meant I needed to either purchase or rent a specific tool for the job. I had 3 options, and after researching them all, Milwaukee was the obvious choice. While more expensive, it offered the most complete expansion with the rotating heads. This kit contained 1/2", 3/4", and 1" heads, 2 batteries, and the charger. The one I purchased was used, but it works flawlessly. I am about 1/3 of the way through a whole house replumbing, and I haven't had to swap or recharge the battery yet.
