    Robbie's Return to Oxford!

    This was the first attempt to continue the Morse legacy after John Thaw's death. This particular story was the most interesting of the Inspector Lewis series.

    Inspector Lewis

    As a super fan of Inspector Morse, I had to find out what happened Post-Morse. I was pleasantly surprised by the updated Oxford series and thought there was good balance between Lewis and his new partner, with Lewis having become more Morse-like than would have seemed possible. Story line a bit complicated, but so were all the Morse episodes. Refreshing viewing and highly recommended for others,like myself, who miss Morse.

    The pilot episode for the Inspector Lewis series

    This film is the very first episode of Inspector Lewis. It is not included in some versions of the series, because it was not necessarily going to become a series. We had watched the entire series on our streaming service and had never seen this episode, so it was a real treat to discover it! All our wondering "How did he end up back on the job" and "Where did Hathaway come from" and so on has finally been answered. The name of this episode is "Reputation," but it is usually just referred to as "pilot." There are lots of references to Morse; if you're an old fan those are fun.

    Hard to find pilot episode

    If you really enjoy the Inspector Lewis series, you will want to see the very first episode, the pilot, to see how it all began, and this is it. As a lover of British drama, this has become one of my favorite shows and I was very glad to see this pilot DVD being offered here, on ebay. Very hard to find.

    BBC Mysteries are the best, Lewis, Morse, Dulgleish, Frost, Christie, Rosemary and Thyme andMidsomer Murders....all brilliant.
