Product Information

Nintendo's grand gorilla makes his Wii debut in this light-hearted racing game. Players can take control of more than a dozen characters from the Donkey Kong universe, including Diddy, Dixie, Kritter, and Kass, and hop into vehicles like jet propelled barrels, toboggans, and mine carts. Originally planned for the GameCube and the bongo controller, Donkey Kong: Barrel Blast requires gamers to use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk in a drumming motion to accelerate. Once players reach full speed they need only steer their character toward power ups and bananas, and avoid pitfalls like backward barrels and pineapple launchers. There are 16 courses in all, many winding through familiar locales like DK Jungle, Mt. Dynamite, and Mammoth Glacier, and gamers can take on each course with up to three friends in four-way split screen action.

    it has it's uses.

    It's a great game. even though it is rare and hard to find in EB games stores. the graphic are good for it and I enjoy playing the game.

    We love Donkey Kong Barrel Blast

    We have always loved this game since it was new in 2007! We have special needs kids/adults now who can play and really enjoy it! The disk was in almost perfect shape from Goodwill Colorado Springs! This is our 3rd or 4th disk we've bought.

    DK Barrel Blast-Great Workout and Fun

    I call it a workout, because to get yourself going you have to move your arms quickly to get to max speed. Once there you can glide through, but not if you need to turn! Depending on which way you want to go, you must move that controller up and down. It reminds me of doing really fast arm curls, without the weights. It was a "blast"! We laughed the whole time we played! There are several different options to play also. It did not seem too complicated for kids to play either, although some can pick up on these games better than the parents! It really is fun for the whole family! I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys laughing and having fun, while getting a little bit of exercise in the process!
