About this product

Product Information

Players take the hard-hitting role of a righteous warrior in a ruined world in Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage. The game is based on Buronson and Tetsuo Hara's manga series, in which the hero Kenishiro uses his expertise in a rare form of martial arts to protect the weak and innocent, during the collapse of civilization after a nuclear cataclysm. Players engage in superhuman hand-to-hand combat against scores of enemy soldiers, completing mission objectives across large, open battlefields.

While the focus of play is on fluid, combo-based melee against multiple foes, as in developer Omega Force's earlier series, the futuristic setting and established fictional characters distinguish Fist of the North Star from the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors games. Heroes and villains engage in martial arts battles, instead of wielding medieval weapons, but the results are no less bloody. As in the comics, Kenishiro's mystical style of pressure point-based fighting can cause gruesome wounds and gory deaths. The game offers three main modes of play: "Legend," which follows the original story of the manga series, "Dream," with an original plotline that allows players to take the roles of each of the four Hokuto brothers, and "Challenge," which pits players against endless streams of enemies.

Item condition is spot, though I would say it’s around good or very good. The discs are in good shape, it’s really the jewel case that’s shown signs of use. The packaging was one of those plastic packages which you can see in one of the provided photos. It went well this time, but it always scares me to see a jewel case unprotected. Anyway the condition was accurate and the shipping was in time for what the seller listed. I’d say the $4.47 shipping was justified.

    Awesome Game

Good Game with good graphic, plot, characters and gameplay actions. Very addictive once you play it. I recommend playing this game as it is fun and lots of action. If you like this game, then play Ken's Rage 2 afterwards, which is a retelling of this game with more characters, plots and details that was absent from this game. Decent game based on the japanese manga, as well as the anime.

  • rage on with ken in northstar

Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage takes everything we love about Koei-style combat and mixes in a new license.we are treated to characters, environments and scenarios ripped out of one of the most popular anime (manga) cartoons in North America. Just like the dw series there are smaller quests that deviate a little with the goal of shedding more light on the overall story and to of course extend the play time and life of the game. Things do start out a little slow in terms of the story and casual fans of the manga and “Dynasty Warrior-style” might need a little push to keep going. For those that do stick with it though, the later parts of the game are very rewarding as the story begins to unfold at a faster pace and make a little more sense.the story translates perfectly and everything is ...

  • Great game, but the camera need work.

The only problem I have is the camera is kind of confuse when you first play the game, but once you get use to it, you'll be fine, but still, it need work if Koei make the next sequel.

  • Ha yayayayayayaya yayaya
