    why on earth they have squeezed 16 megapixels into same small sensor ???

    This is a good camera, - the biggest surprise is how Sony could have managed to squeeze into such relatively tiny body all the modern hi-tech features, toys and gadgets + a 16x zoom. The very signigicant "con" I must mention : noise reduction is TOO active and can well make your photos way too soft and having a "painted" look. Photograph at the lowest ISO possible and try to use camera outdoors preferably on sunny days only. This is how you'll be getting great pictures with Sony DSC-HX9V. (Though "Super intelligent mode" can indeed help you with making very passable pictures in twilight.) In one of the reviews (sorry, but the rules applicable here prevent me from mentioning the exact link) I've seen a collection of "sample images" ...

    Amazing video quality!! ; )

    This camera its just amazing, in everyway, specially the video quality, features are also blowminded!! maybe the only problem is that the videos are so amazing that at the end they are little bit too large but there is plenty of software to make them very small with out loosing any quality at all. like "handbrake" .

    Very pleased! great quality, good price.

    Im not camera expert, but i did soem research before buying that one. It seemed the best value for money, i got advised by 2 professionals that quality for that money is out of competition. I really like it, has lots of features, takes awesome pictures

    Great camera which I definitely recommend.

    Deliberated for ages about this camera as I've always bought ultra compact cameras. I've been travelling for 8 weeks and this camera has been amazing. The image stabilization is so effective, we took 2000+shots and it seems that all were decent. The GPS acquisition time is disappointing as reported by many people but the time from power on or mode change to taking a photo is insanely fast. The sequence shot is great but lacks the speed of more advanced cameras to the point where it wasn't really useful for sports like wakeboarding and snow boarding where the time between sequence shots are greatly delayed.

    A good bargain as described ,,,,,,perfect product

    I got this camera because I have been advised from my husband. I love cameras and I had 8 MGp so it was the time update and make better pictures. It is good camera with different features It 16 mgp which is maximum at the moment to find in camera.....
