About this product

Product Information

3DO's entry into the extreme sport genre comes in the form of Jonny Moseley Mad Trix, an extreme skiing title -- the first game of its kind to appear on the PS2. Trick-oriented gameplay drives the title as players compete for the highest score on each of the ten fantasy courses. Snow blankets each of the city courses, regardless of their actual climate. Las Vegas, New York, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C. are just some of the cities serving as the backdrop for the adrenaline-seeking skiers. Real-world landmarks can be found in the respective cities and form an integral part of the gameplay; such as grinding along the Golden Gate Bridge, to cite one such example.

Button and directional combinations are used to execute aerial and grind maneuvers. New skis, equipment, courses, and competitors can be unlocked by achieving the requisite scores for a particular course. Competitors are made up of a mixture of real and fictitious characters, including the titular Olympian. A standard collection of modes are offered, including Free Ride and Training which provide players with the opportunity to accustom themselves with the courses and control scheme, respectively. A host of bands have been licensed for the title, providing a range of rock, hip-hop, and alternative tracks to accompany the gameplay.

  • I'd rather jump off a birdge

Let me tell you a story about this being the worst game ever! The controls are just jacked up. It just doesn't feel right trying to do the big tricks. THPS made the tricks flow together, nothing like this game. Another thing, what were they thinking when they made levels in Las Vegas, and San fransisco. I mean if it was a real skiing game, why not make the levels at places where you can actually ski. Jackson Hole, Copper Mountain, Squaw, Mt, Mammoth, Wolf creek. ...

  • Mad Trix

The game is not really good. It is hard to explain, but anyone who has played the game, will know what I am talking about when I say it is hard to flow through the levels. I only bought it because it is pretty much the only skiing game on the market.

  • jonny moseley mad tix

i bought it to add to my collection of ps 2 discs. since i am an avid skier, i wanted to have a disc that had some king of skiing involved and now I have my disc.
