Compass as described except the joints are not dovetails but finger joints. This was obvious from photo and not a negative since I knew the difference before purchasing. Shipping was prompt but package was tight and bulging. A plastic shopping bag was used to secure the floating compass which is not the best choice for a maritime navigation instrument.
