On of M. Night Shyamalan's better films with a great twist ending.

    M. Night Shyamalan Can make some of the best films. Then sometimes he's off his game. In "The Visit", M. Night Shyamalan is mostly as great as he was with: "Signs". I feel that what kept "The Visit" from being a five star was the character of the boy. He was annoying and the 'rap' attempts were obnoxious, distracting, and inhibited the flow. Along with this, M. Night Shyamalan, used a little too much of the video camera's point of view. [that last part may be debatable, where others might feel it was 'just right' or 'not enough'.] The over all plot: A woman and her parents had a schism many years ago. The woman left, never kept in contact, and had two kids- a girl and a boy. The girl is in high school now and wants to meet the grand parents. This is used as her 'vehicle' to do a ...

    Expected more from Shyamalan

Normally enjoy Shyamalan's films, this one left me a little disappointed. The plot & storyline seemed lacking. Unlike Stephen King or James Bond films which get better with each successive one, M. Night Shyamalan took a step backwards with this latest attempt.

  • Much better than i thought it would be

The Visit has a twist to the story that left my jaw dropped. Very unique film, keeps you engaged and on the edge of your seat, but at the same time it creeps you out.

  • The Visit

Classified I think as horror, but there is not a lot of special effects. Does not take away from the some of the disturbing aspects of the film, but adds to it. I think it is still very good. A little different. I enjoyed it very much.
