Great lightweight and small phone with plenty of features.
Fits easily in shirt or pants pocket, opens easily with one hand. This phone sounds great receiving calls and people on the other end have said it sounds very clear. It has long battery life. This is a 2G version only, which one major carrier will be phasing out in 2017 in the United States. For the 2G/3G version you will want a Motorola RAZR V3xx.

The phone is useless it's too old and the ribbon is usually worn out by the time I get it unless you get one that's refurbished in these lunatics want you to pay $250 for an old tech 10-year-old phone. The only benefit and upside is the fact that you can use your own Sim card anywhere around the world if it's unlocked

I decided to get the Razr V3 because I've had very good experiences with Motorola products in the past, and I wanted a mobile phone that was slimmer than my old phone, a Motorola Pebl. The interface is essentially the same as the Pebl's, which made it a lot easier to use. The Bluetooth also seems a lot faster on the Razr than the Pebl, which means any photos I take on my mobile phone can be easily uploaded to my computer. As for reception, the reception is fine. I haven't had any dropped calls or weird signal disruptions, which has been nice. That being said, the only real complaint I have with the Razr is that the keys leave an imprint on the screen. I'm thinking it has something to do with the way the keys lie against the screen when the phone is closed. It might behove you to get ... ATT RAZR used on Tmobile network
I can honestly say this was one of the most trendiest phones to have back when smart phones weren't readily available yet. Every now and then I see someone with a RAZR, but they are most likely older folks. My mom really enjoys having a slim phone that is decently loud and is easy to type and see. It would have benefited her more if I bought her a RAZR sold by Tmobile, but I couldn't find a good one for under $50. Because Verizon solely has CDMA phones (doesn't take Sim cards) I couldn't better ones and Tmobile's network works okay on ATT's RAZR. In my opinion this phone is worth around or under $50 and no more because its a "feature" phone, and in today's mobile world, there are many better choices available. If you are looking to buy a phone for some older generation folks, this would be ... If you need a basic phone, look elsewhere it is a P.O.S.! a waste of money!
Out of the box, and with the accessories included, this phone seemed to be a good value. (seemed to be) I was in need of a second phone, and since I bought this same model at Walmart almost two years ago during a model close-out, and have had excellent reception and easy use of all the features, I decided to get the same easy to use basic phone - for calls and occasional messages. I am not in need of the ever popular "smart phone", I use a cell phone as an emergency communication device, not a novelty toy. I also utilize a prepaid ATT account to lower the overall monthly cost. After installing a new sim card, the differences became very apparent. The main menu was not the same as my original ATT phone. Some of the menu items were misspelled or missing. I could deal with that, as long as ... Out of the box, and with the accessories included, this phone seemed to be a good value. I could deal with that, as long as the functions were the same. WRONG. The first time I tried to send a message - an error appeared -"unable to send" and resend did nothing. The quality of regular calls was acceptable, IF and WHEN it WOULD OBTAIN A SIGNAL. The screen was hard to read in a dimly lighted room, and FORGET about daylight, everything was washed-out and unreadable. I couldn't even see the clock since the display was only available in black. It took pictures like it should, but forget about sending them to somebody else, or extracting them for viewing. In the same area at the same time as my ATT phone, this phone would lock into "emergency only", or "no service mode" making it impossible to make calls. After several hours of researching programming options, and trying to update or enable basic features that should have been included, I gave up on this P.O.S. The final straw occurred when I needed to contact my wife from home for a semi-emergency, and no matter where I positioned myself, or how many times I rebooted the phone, I could not make a call, and got the message "call failed" every time. She arrived a short time after, and had a full signal on her phone. This phone has outdated software and 2006 menu options for generic FOREIGN use that are severely limited for normal use in the USA. I believe that it is an obvious Chinese "knockoff" of the original Motorola V3 Razr (which the misspelled menu items should have been my first clue) and is not worth the trouble or frustration it has caused. I just recently had enough of this B.S. and smashed it against a concrete floor, and threw it in the trash where it belongs.
