    Almost 5 stars, but not quite

    The transmission mount worked great in my 2000 Cherokee Sport, but I ended up drilling a hole in the baseplate to allow for a bump in the transmission plate holding the exhaust pipe. I used the original mount as a template, so it was pretty easy, but that's not the point. It shouldn't have been needed at all. This is an 18 year old vehicle and parts for it are well known. Anchor should have engineered the mount with this hole...the original Chrysler part had the hole. Hmmmm... Otherwise, easily installed and seems to be pretty good so far. Muuuuuch better than the old broken down mount. This, coupled with a new set of motor mounts, got rid of the slop and occasional clunk that I was feeling when bringing the vehicle to a stop or starting out from a stop. Quality? Time will ...
