Product Information

Nintendo's popular in-house life development sim returns with 3D gameplay and an entirely new species of furry four-legged friends in Nintendogs + Cats. There are 27 different breeds from which to choose, highlighted by the toy poodle cover-critter, and each breed offers unique color patterns and personalities. All of the animals react to touch (on the touch pad) and sound (through the microphone), and the facial recognition technology of the 3DS even lets the virtual pets learn their owner's face. Other 3DS gameplay options are also put to use in Nintendogs + Cats, such as an augmented reality feature that allows virtual pets to play on real-world objects like tables or desks, or the activity log pedometer that keeps track of real-world steps when players take their pet for a walk. Gamers can also snap photos of their puppy or kitten at any time, exchange "Miis," pets, and presents with nearby players, and download new content at any wireless hotspot.

    This game just does not work

    I tried playing it, it wont appear to get past the title screen. I tried cleaning it, tried checking if the console was functioning right and it was. The game is a dud and waste of money..

    Amazing Game. Great way to teach children how to handle their own pet.

    I bought this product because i liked the old nintendogs. So when they added cats and all these other features it seemed like the perfect game. I like how u can actually walk your dog like you would in real life, you can put furniture in the house, theres a store just for accessories and furniture. and how you can walk your dog using your pedometer in the 3ds. i get steps while making my dog happy. What i dont like about it is how it doesnt have the agility like in the original nintendogs. They replaced it with lure coursing. But its fine. Other than that its an amazing game, teaches kids how to take care of their very own pet.

    Nintendo Really Hit One Out of the Park!!

    This is a really great game. its cute....its 3d features are so mind blowing....the fact that you can hold your puppy in your very own hand is just outstanding. I think Nintendo really hit one out of the park with the 3DS....Nintendogs is easy to use, encourages kids (young and old) to get active....while "walking" your pet...and you get special rewards for getting off the couch and going for a walk!

    I love this game!!

    I like this game, I love poppies specially toy poddle :) .In this game you can call your pet by her or his name,any name that you want!!, talk to them, and make them do tricks by talking to your DS system. If you are using the Nintendo 3DS, you can now interact with them using facial expressions. The 3DS uses a built in camera to detect your facial expression and makes the experience more realistic. I love it.

    Not as Good as the Original Nintendogs or Purr Pals, but Still Fun

    When I first purchased this game upon release, I had a hard time enjoying it. I had been excited about having cats in the game and was expecting something like a Nintendogs + Purr Pals kind of game where there are activities to do with the cats as well as the dogs. When I found out I could do more with a real cat than the cats in this game and that my favorite activity from the original Nintendogs, agility, had been replaced by lure coursing I was very unhappy with this game, however I recently rebuilt my old DS and 3DS collections and gave this game a second chance. While it's not as good as the original Nintendogs and the original Purr Pals game on DS is a much better choice for a game with cats, there is a lot of things to like about the game.
