  • A Decent How To Alter Menswear

At first the book, actually it's a large paperback similiar to a coloring book, appears to be a comprehensive manual. It is filled with a number of drawings and step by step procedures. When you get in to the text however, you need to have a pretty decent understanding of sewing, alterations, and terminology. The book assumes the reader understands many terms and in many cases assumes knowledge of even the most basic of procedures. The drawings are just that, line drawings, not pictures. Many times it would be helpful to have pointers of arrows to indicate what the step or instruction is referencing. All and all, it is a useful instruction manual but really doesn't allow a beginner to perform more complex alterations as I had hoped.
