A happy memory with my Father. Funny as hell still today. Sad that the actors in it are no longer with us. Great comedy

  • should be called the prisoner of the world

it is one of the best films to watch and so true of the everything day things that go on in this world! sometimes you just have to laugh at the things people do and remind yourself that this is life and to learn to deal with bad and good.

  • First Rate

They rarely show this movie anymore, but it is one of Jack Lemmon's best. Done in 1975 with Anne Bancroft, it is a mixture of drama and comedy about an executive who is suddenly unemployed and the trauma causes him to have a nervous breakdown. His wife tires her best to be understanding, but it seems when it rains it pours. He is mugged, his house is broken into and a number of other little things that all add up to one big revelation at the end! Sylvester Stallone makes an appearance as the pick-pocket. I think we have all felt like we have been there one time or another. A super movie.

  • Great portrayal of stress with comedic genius and timing. Fun movie.

One of the best movies of NYC scenes and a great snapshot of New York in the 1970s. Stressed out, and robbed, Jack Lemmon and Anne Bancroft really pull this off, from their doorman building on 2nd Avenue. Funny, and an accurate portrayal of the stresses of life in NYC. If you get an opportunity to get a copy of this, it's fun.
