      A great British TV series

      I have seen some episodes on my local PBS station and really like them. They are very well done and make one really pay attention. I haven't watched any of these yet but I know I will like them. I like BBC shows, well, some of them. There are 3-4 shows related to the the Inspector Morse show and I am eager to get my hands on them also.

      MORSE

      This complete set of the Inspector Morse series was a great purchase! I’m loving every one (trying not to go through them too fast tho). This set is a must for British TV detective lovers. You come to feel you really know Morse and Lewis. What I find fun Is seeing actors that have appeared in other British TV-in this series they are much younger! The locations in and around Oxford adds so much also. Some of the references I do not understand and found the subtitles absolutely necessary. The intricate plots are truly amazing but I’m getting good at picking the murderer. There’ll never be another series like it!

      Excellent series, crisp images, poor sound

      I was concerned that the video quality from such an old show would be fuzzy, but it is crisp and clear. However, the sound is too low and with the British accents, it's more difficult to hear. Morse is one of my favorite TV series, well acted and produced, with quite good production values. The interesting characters are given time in each episode to be developed a bit more, adding a layer to our knowledge of the somewhat dour Morse and a few of the reasons behind his attitude and outlook. There is hope for him, as we see when he is attracted to a woman, shows a little softness, loses some of his edge, even smiles occasionally. I am glad to have this boxed set of the complete series which I have wanted for some time.

      Extremely enjoyable and engaging.

      Terrific characters, plots, actors, British scenery and architecture. A must have for my complete box sets collection and wasn't disappointed. Inspector Lewis box set will be next.

      Believable characters, actors who can act.

      Characters here are believable. American program would me more apt to put more importance of female characters with nice figures and showing lots of skin rather than actiing ability. Male characaters are not the handsome macho type. All characters are good actors. Once you get used to Brit slang, it is even better but then, I do watch mostly British shows for the aforementioned reasons.
