    X7SBL-LN2 Motherboard

    Motherboard works with a variety of Intel processors, including duos, quads and xeons. The Supermicro website still has all the information regarding this motherboard. Motherboard bios is difficult to set up, even with the user manual and information on the website. Motherboard built in video card is only 32mb, still looking for a pciex-8 suitable for a replacement and a way to disable the on board video. These cards a fairly expensive even on ebay. I have loaded various Linux distributions on the motherboard with little trouble. I will not be loading a Windows distribution so, I am unsure how Windows will work on this motherboard.

    All of the pci slots are cramped except one, you can get better expansion for cheaper.

    A good buy on a solid motherboard.

    I was looking for a new motherboard wth the LGA775 cpu socket, so I could re-purpose the cpu out of my dead desktop computer and upgrade from the Pentium 3 on the Supermicro P4SCE server motherboard on my NAS. I was pleasantly surprised to find this Supermicro X7SBL-LN2 board for under $30. It will also accept the 8G of ram from my dead computer! The reliability of Supermicro server boards is unquestioned, so I did not hesitate to buy this one. The seller shipped very quickly, the board was packaged in an anti-static bag and boxed very well. After installation, the board powered up and booted with no issues. I'm very happy. There's not much I enjoy better than up-cycling and re-purposing old computer stuff!

    repurposed server board to run games i like

    it was a experiment for me but it turned out to work really well after i replaced the video with a 500 meg pcie in the x4 slot after i cut out the back of the slot . the cpu and memory got a 7.3 rating and video got a 6.2 for games in windows test. im really satisfied with the end result from a ex server board

    Nice quad core server motherboard.

    Solid server motherboard. No sound port, but works with sound cards or USB sound adapters. Runs Windows 10, but only at a very limited display. I am using one as a Linux media server with 4 hard drives. It is also fantastic to use in a router with the two network interfaces at 1 Gbps. The internal USB is handy for USB thumb drive or Bluetooth adapters.
