Easy to get excellent monitor profiles
The Spyder 5 Pro was in virtually new condition, had its serial number and was priced very well. The software by a download which requires the serial number. It is very easy to follow the instructions and get an excellent profile.

Finally!
I have been a "professional" photographer in excess of 52 years. I actually started using Photoshop around the year 1990 when it first came out. Back then we would buy film scanners and scan the negatives into the computer to work in Photoshop with them. Somewhere around 2002 I remember saying, "I'll never go digital, it'll never be good enough." Very few months later I said, "I better go digital, or I'm going to get dusted." Haven't looked back since! For many, many years since then, I have been able to get a print from my printer that pretty well matched what I saw on my computer screen. Then the new LED monitors came on the market. I begin to have a little more trouble matching what I was seeing to what actually printed. After wasting about 40 sheets of photo paper to get two good prints, I decided a change was needed. I began to look at the Spyder5 hardware and program and knew it was time to take action! After running the program, which took about 10 minutes, every single print coming off of my Epson 1430 printer was perfect! What is really amazing is that I kept increasing the brightness on my screen trying to get the photos to come out correctly and that is not what was needed. The Spyder5 created a screen that has all the colors and contrast needed to actually see what is going to get printed. I highly recommend it to save your time and money if you do much photo printing.

The process of calibrating takes a few minutes, and requests you be present as you would be during normal computer use, so you'll need to be patient. Very satisfied with the end results of what this model is capable of, and can recommend the pro upgrade from express (at least with multiple monitors, as in my case).Package includes sensor, and a card insert for software download location as well as serial number for license registration.
