    Like a champ

    I let this lay around for a couple of weeks before trying it. When I pulled it out of the box, the manual was less than impressive, written in 3 languages, none of them English. But that was the last time I was disappointed. I popped the case on my dead desktop, pushed a plastic slide lock up and pulled the old hard drive out. I then put it in the docking station, plugged in the power supply, plugged in the supplied USB3 cable and powered it up. Immediately, there was that familiar sound you get when it recognizes your thumb drive. And there it was. And that's all there was to it. Now I know that this is "so what" to a computer guy, but to a simple computer user it was a very easy and satisfying venture!

    So far so good.

    At first I was hesitant to purchase this, due to how low cost it was, and my unfamiliarity of "Sabrenet" products. This very basic device serves it's purpose well. I was looking for a non expensive docking station solution to make use of a spare 1TB drive on my Xbox One console, and this one works perfectly. Games run smooth as butter, and this docking station truly delivers 3.0 speed. It powers down after a while of no use, and auto powers back on when it is needed, although, I am sure that has to do more with the console, but nonetheless, I am happy with it. I can say that it is built fairly good, comes with a decent power adapter, and a good quality USB 3.0 cable.

    Junk!

    Purchased three of these Sabrent Docking stations, one here on eBay, 2 from MicroCenter. None of them worked. Tried them on 2 different workstation and a laptop (all i7 processors, all Win 7 Pro OS 64 bit). Also tried with 3 different (brand new) drives, one being a Samsung 500Gb SSD. Save your money and time, seek out another brand.
