      Strong for a 4-inch clamp

      I have a couple of Irwim and Harbor Freight clamps. They are fine for light projects as they are not strong enough to damage pieces being glued. The DeWalt 4-inch clamp has a much better clamping force. I tested them on a two pieces of hobby wood with a spacer at each end. The Irwin and Harbor Freight would slip before the wood would break. The DeWalt keep on going until the wood broke. I now have a 4-inch clamp for the heavier small projects. By the way, the Harbor Freight clamps are just slightly less strong as the Irwin.

      Perfect for smaller jobs where a larger clamp would just get in the way, or make aligning the parts more difficult due to the cracked.
