Delorme Florida Gazeteer
Typical Delorme quality. Only drawback is the lack of scale in the built-up areas of cities, which means that if you are looking for a specific street in a city, you most likely will not be able to find it at all. For that you really will need a GPS. If Delorme were to include all that type of data/information, the street maps that would have to be included would make the piece an inch thick, or more. That said, you will be able to find lesser roads between areas more easily than on the average map, so if you were looking for an interesting side road to take you between towns, you can find that here. I hear that Garmin has bought Delorme, and has no intention of continuing production of these gazeteers, forcing us all to go GPS. Typical Delorme quality. The best way to find the roads less traveled
As a motorcyclist riding in Florida, it is hard to find the wonderful winding roads that they have in other States. We have them here but you will not find them on conventional maps or GPS's (unless it is too zoomed in to be useful). The "side-benefit" is that only local drivers are generally in these more quite and interesting areas so you don't have to ride in traffic, per se. The newest printed version is better than the original one in all but one way. The former was staple bound which allowed me to easily remove them to separate the pages so I could fold and stack them in order in my map holder on my tankbag. The new one is glue bound which required me to cut every page out with a straight razor blade before I could utilize it in my map holder. I WOULD HAVE NEVER FOUND THE ...
