      Watts Water Pressure Regulator 25AUB 3/4"

      If you are finding that there are plumbing leaks on the supply water pipes or faucets anywhere in your home including your hot water heating system (if you have that type), you should check the in-house water pressure. It is very possible and likely that this kind of pressure regulator is faulty. The "street pressure" is much higher than what you should have inside your home and this regulator controls that inside pressure. These are designed, placed, and mounted for easy replacement. This pressure regulator immediately restored the inside water pressure to the correct and recommended level.

      Perfect House Pressure and Great Flow

      Original put in house when built about 6 yrs ago was a smaller version of a watts pressure regulator, details say not to use for a home due to flow amount... This one handles the flow and working great, our city has about 140psi water pressure at the street - take a shower with that and it is lie a hard massage and the faucets all spray out at that pressure, toilets don't like it - glad I got this in before something broke or ruptured. Easy to install and saved hundreds doing it my self vs plumber - like over a $100 /hr about... Fast ship and would buy from again..

      Less hefty than previous versions of this model

      The older Watts 25AUB series was made with a thicker casting and thicker union nut. This newer union nut is budget engineered and quite thin. Companies are really pushing the limits of what they can get away with these days with making things as cheaply as possible. Having said that, this pressure reducer seems fine and since I've installed many of these Watts units so far without a problem I suppose it's not much to worry about. The price on these things is ridiculously high compared to just 2 years ago. It seems everyone is raising their prices just because they know they can. The cost of brass certainly hasn't gone up that much to justify the steep price hike from Watts.

      water pressure lowering valve

      This product will lower your water line pressure to a more desired level. My inlet pressure to my house is 170 psi which is extremely high. Out of the box with this new valve it was 27psi . I adjusted mine to 50psi which is comfortable to shower in and is easy on the plumbing fixtures. Instructions on how to adjust are included in the box.
