I followed your directions precisely and after the first couple 2% milk refills I noticed a slight taste so I knew there must be some grains still alive. Persistence to bring the graina back to life paid off as 7 days if daily refresh and rinsing the grains twice per week. I always used bottled water. The grains a very robust now. I just think the grains had a tough journey In a hot truck. I am very happy with the milk kefir grains,
