    Perfect replacement for the T440s' ridiculous stock touchpad

    Installed this last night, and it's working perfectly under Linux. The three physical buttons are easy to reach with the thumb, and have a nice, soft click; the touchpad has a nice surface, and clicks down very gently and quietly compared to the stock T440s touchpad, which you can annoyingly hear from space. And I only had to take the laptop *almost* entirely apart to get it in! :P

    Great trackpad for W540

    This trackpad was very easy to install and works great. It is very smooth and has buttons unlike the default W540 trackpad. It is worth noting that the W540 trackpad comes with 4 screws on the edges and one in the middle. This trackpad only requires the 4 screws at the edges and that works just fine. It worked out of the box in Arch Linux with the buttons. In Windows, it worked out of the box with the latest Synaptics UltraNav driver installed, but the physical buttons did not work. The seller includes instructions with a filename, follow it to get the buttons working. There is also a YouTube video somewhere that uses this trackpad.

    Replacement trackpad for terrible W540 touchpad

    If you have a Lenovo W540 with the terrible touchpad you want this trackpad. It is a direct, though likely not supported, replacement for the W540 touchpad. If you are good with opening your laptop (beware there are very thin wires inside) or have a good computer guy you will absolutely love what this does for your W540. The part seems to be IBM OEM - so very high quality.

    Excellent replacement for T440p

    The original touchpad of my Lenovo T440p was rubbish: missed clicks, erroneous clicks, annoying sound. The new one solved it all. It was reasonably easy to install and it worked well in Ubuntu 16.04 without any actions from my side.

    Good quality.

    Feels so much better than the standard trackpad featured on the t440p. The installation was not hard, just time consuming (and lots of screws to keep track of) so everything worked just fine when I booted up the computer. I had to force a downgrade of the driver to make the middle button work under Windows.
