Makes the Bible look like fiction
Zecharia Sitchin nailed it! He is a master at translation. He knows and understands several languages, including Cuneiform and Hieroglyphs. He translates the Sumerian tablets with astounding clarity. The Sumerian tablets predate the Bible by 4000 years, and the Egyptian empire by 3000. Which means they are 6000 years old. The Bible itself actually plagiarizes the Sumerian tablets. In many cases, word for word. Where the Bible is vague and open to interpretation, the tablets are certain and clear and very detailed, leaving nothing open to interpretation. It describes the beginnings of mankind. Man in his current form as genetically created by a class of beings called the Anunnaki (Those who from the heavens came) or more widely known as the fallen angels from the Bible led by Lucifer. Whereby the Anunnaki had to flee to earth because their planet "Nibiru" or "Planet X" had become a wasteland and knocked in to a 3,600 year elliptical orbit which passes by earth on its way. The Elohim stayed behind and fled under ground. There is speculation that the last time it passed by, was during the time of Noah and caused the great flood. The next time it is to return is supposed to be this year, 2012. NASA and Google have blacked out pictures of the southern region of the hemisphere to keep people from discovering its arrival. But there will be no keeping a secret when it becomes clear in the night sky as if a new moon has arrived, inviting even more speculation of the Mayan December 21, 2012, and book of Revelation prophecies when the Elohim return. Overall an excellent book for those who are skeptical of the standard biblical teachings. I highly recommend this book!

Details in the book such as propulsion of a spaceship by nuclear energy (fire stones) and water, the destruction of an entire civilization by an "evil wind" (radiation) caused by "weapons of terror" (nuclear bombs), the description of "whirlwinds" (helicopters) and thundering "celestial chariots" (rockets) make you wonder if this guy is an archaeologist and linguist or a science fiction writer. How does he know about ion propulsion? Turned from computer geek to archaeologist wanna-be, I started to confirm each of these claims. They are astonishing! Not only that. Historical events such as the sudden end of the Sumerian civilization, the predominance of Egypt and later Babylon, the appearance of the Mayan culture, with unequaled ('til today) astronomical expertise as well as the Chinese ... Finally, Norse and Celtic mythology, not to mention Greek (and Roman), Egyptian and Mesopotamian all refer to similar Gods (and their clans) that according to Sitchin are nothing but human aliens. It is possible. According to the book we (humans) were "improved" from Homo-Erectus. Therein, probably, lies that unexplained 1% of genetical difference with chimps (our closet evolutionary relatives), responsible for Mozart, Jack the Ripper, etc. Most of the Genesis stories coincide with this book, in a way. Man's creation in God's image and likeness, expulsion from Edin, the killing of Abel by his brother Cain (who was given a genetic mark: no facial hair), the story of Abraham, Sodom and Gomorrah, etc. If you are serious about religion, history and science you got to read this book. It's an eye opener!

Could the history of humanity as we have been taught be wrong? Read this book and make up your own mind. The one thing for sure is that no one after having read this book cover to cover is ever quite the same again. A very good read and one of the very few books out there that I've actually bought many times over to be able to give away copies to friends as gifts.The Lost Book Of Enki by Zecharia Sitchin is without doubt a true power house of a book.
