    Rockstar:INXS-A Night At The Mayan - AWESOME!

    I'm an INXS fanatic, I pride myself on my INXS 'collection'. I have every Australian release of INXS, as well as English, German, U.S. and Canadian releases and bootlegs, among my collection is some of the rarest live footage, demos and extended remixes available, I have dedicated my life to this band, I was 12 when they started as the Farriss Brothers in 1979, I am now 43yrs old, and have seen them play live on 13 concert tours including quitting my job and following them on an entire tour through the Australian bush (outback). As well as the INXS music, I have albums and singles from every band/singer that has supported them in concert as well as having something from every band or 'side-project' they've contributed to. So, having been a participating member of the Rockstar:INXS ...

    bad news

    With the popularity of "American Idol",this sort of "poor-man's-version" is perhaps to be expected...a bunch of kids with limited abilities"put on a show" in order to win a position as a rock star,a record contract,ect...and it's "live"..it would work if the participants had more than just above-average talent...Alas,the participants here do not...and the fact that it is a"live"show only further undermines the album...indeed,some of these efforts are so bad as to cause one to wonder why they have been included at all(except perhaps as filler,or as an extreme contrast to the limited abilities of the winner of this less-than-satisfying affair)

    I would have done it differently

    I was disappointed in this CD. If they were going to do a CD from the show, I would have rather them put on the best of the best. Instead, they put on songs from everyone, good and bad. Even the songs done by people I liked were not their best.

    Rock Star INXS (CD)

    I bought this item because I was a big fan of the tv show. I absolutely love it and I listen to it all the time. The best purchase I have made in a long time!!!
