    Follow up to Jesus of Nazareth

    I’ve wanted this series ever since I watched Jesus of Nazareth years ago but just never ordered it. It is definitely not as good as Jesus...... but it provides a pretty good overview of Acts.

    The fractured story of the early church.

    What would make this movie better is to make available the full 8 hour version that was originally recorded on VHS on DVD. The six hour version that is made available on DVD is a VERY poor substitute for the full version on VHS. The six hour version on DVD chops up VERY vital spiritual scenes, and the background story with everyday human interaction that make the movie a great production. In my humble opinion, it would have been better to not release the six hour version because it is such a poor substitute of the original.

    Good movie

    Ii have seen this before. When I saw I could buy it for a reasonable price I leaped on it. I love this movie. It is about the persecution of the early church of God. This is the truth not made up. I am a Christian and a follower of Jesus. I, too am a member of Christs body . I reccomend this movie to all. Some of it was added that wasn't in the Bible but it definitely got the point across of what happened to them.

    I first saw this mini series on the History Channel about 20 years back. Since then, I've tried to find it a few times on DVD. I kept coming across a more abridged version from Christian sellers. The full story is rich in christian and Roman history and really enjoyable.

    Good depiction of the life of the early church

    The Apostle Paul and Peter are both well done. Actually Thomas - Aquilla and Priscilla, they are all well-casted. I was afraid this would have a "dated" feel. We own the VHS of it. DVD is definitely better
