The tin metal cover that once enclosed the 3 'D' batteries in the built-in battery compartment underneath the boat is now missing. An unpainted tin flat bar was installed some time ago in its place to hold the 3 'D' batteries in position, not allowing the batteries to become dislodged, once the boat is right-side up again. There's also some minor-moderate oxidation toward the rear of the side wheeler paddle boat, which isn't that noticeable or which seriously depreciates the overall antique value of the vintage tin litho'd side wheeler paddle boat. No attempt has been made to conceal, remedy or otherwise disguise this occurrence. The vint tin paddle boat remains as it always was & is still in working cond. Imagine after some nearly 60 yrs, you were most likely sat on, left outside in the rain in a sandbox or tortured by the family pet & you were still in working order? In quite well-preserved, overall vint cond. Great fun & a great vint Japanese tin toy.”
