The Netgear WGT624 Wireless Router is an excellent product, but without a CD Installation could be a little bit complicated for new users. The good: SPI firewall; excellent throughput; content filtering. The bad: Incomplete installation guide; lacks WDS support Other features, such as an SPI firewall and support for Dynamic DNS, make the WGT624 a good choice for techies who are looking for a high-performance wireless router and are willing to perform an occasional firmware upgrade. The Netgear WGT624 108Mbps wireless firewall router has a good feature set that meets the needs of both advanced users and those with little or no networking experience. The WGT624's browser-based configuration tool is easy to navigate and offers features tailored for family networking. The tool is ... The NetGear Wireless Routers are very simple to install and will normally provide wireless service for the entire house. Buying a used unit can be a problem if the unit does not come with the software CD. Without the CD the internet is the source for installing and progrmming the NetGear Router. The website is easy to find with any search engine. The problem arises when the previous owner changed the login name and password from their default settings. Without the login name and password the website is useless. Don't dispare. There is a reset button on the back of the router. It takes a paperclip or toothpick to activate the reset since the button is recessed. After resetting the router, just set up the router to perform as desired. Solid Router for the money
I first used this router 4? years ago...got an extra one when I moved to a bigger house. 1 upstairs, 1 downstairs. Pretty solid for the money...easy to set up and use...and has the ability to be customized to my needs. Good speeds too...

NetGear WGT624 Wireless Router
I bought this used router because it was inexpensive and I was familiar with the NetGear name. I've installed it between my Comcast cable modem and my desktop PC and am using it to access the internet with my laptop. It was easy to set up and works well most of the time. But every now and then it simply disconnects and I have to reboot it. That I don't like; and I haven't been able to solve the problem, even with the help of a couple of friends who know more than I do about these things.I bought this used router because it was inexpensive and I was familiar with the NetGear name. Netgear vs.belkin
Netgear is the best wireless router iv ever had! i had a previous Belkin router that was giving me problems and cost to much. My online gaming would always time out and didn't get great distance. for a fraction of the price i got the netgear router and little did i know it was a great replacement for my online gaming experience.
