    This was a book assigned by one of my book clubs. I thought to story was interesting, somewhat like a memoir, which told of the lives of two young people living in the early 1900's. They first met in the area of Italy where their families lived. Circumstances occurred over the years and eventually they moved to the United States. They were reunited in the New York/New Jersey area. Their lives did not immediately intertwine. They had completely different experiences, but eventually they united, married and had children. I thought the story was very touching and I liked that the characters were real and you could imagine knowing and liking them. I have read negative reviews of the book on line, but I found this to be a book that I enjoyed very much. Most of the people in my book ...
