    An excellent film noir title with good acting and story

    I decided to buy this film since I had picked up a few film stills on this title. John payne is a favourite and some of the bad guys looked rather cool in their suits and mean looks. it also contained a number of other wonderful character actors who have featured in other more leading films. A pity it wasn't longer since i was certainly gripped by the excellent story,camera work and varying locations. the end is terrific.

    Oh, Sonny!

     John Payne was typical, "John Payne." But, Sonny Tufts was a real evil no nonsense thug! Someone you'll never want to meet! Though slow in the beginning, the finish ends with justice. My interests was sparked one day when I heard Sonny Tufts in an Old Time Radio show. Sonny was perfect. What more can I say?
